Q. Describe the socio-religious reform movements of the Parsis (Zoroastrians)?

Ans.

In the 19th century, like other religious sects in India, the Parsis also started a socioreligious movement. In 1858, Dada Bhai Naoroji, and Fardonji established the Religious Reform Association. It severely opposed the orthodox views about the education of Parsi women, their marriage and other religious practices, rites and ceremonies. They promoted female education, and worked for the uplift of the women.
