Ans.
Young students from different parts of India took active part in Swadeshi movement which had unnerved the British Government. The government took many steps to crush this movement. The worst sufferers were the students. The government harrassed and punished them for taking part in the freedom struggle. Most of them were fined, imprisoned and flogged. Many of them were even expelled and rusticated from schools and colleges. Some students like Khudi Ram Bose and Profulla Chaki were arrested on the charge of trying to kill cruel British Judge Kings Ford who had imposed heavy sentences on young freedom fighters, Khudi Ram Bose was hanged while Profulla Chaki shot himself dead.
